The basic standards that the shaft of a water pump should meet
The water pump shaft shall not have the following defects: firstly, groove marks or roundness or cylindricity exceeding the specified limit due to wear of the shaft neck. The surface of the second axis has been eroded, resulting in grooves and pits. The keyway is severely worn or eroded. 4. The straightness of the shaft exceeds one-third of the specified gap between the inner diameter of the large mouth ring and the outer diameter of the impeller inlet.
The radial runout of the shaft neck shall not exceed the following table, in millimeters.

The surface roughness at the shaft neck/journal and where the impeller is installed shall not exceed this value. The parallelism between the center of the keyway and the axis of the shaft shall not exceed 0.3 thousandths, and the offset shall not exceed 0.06 millimeters.
