How to guard against high temperature for generator set in summer

In summer, temperature is very high in some countries, which will effect users to use diesel generator set normally, especially water cool diesel generator set. How to deal with the high temperature in diesel generator set, we have some suggestion.

(1) Proper use close cooling system
 Generally, modern diesel generator set  can adopt a close cooling system with sealed radiator cap and expansion tank. When generator setworking, steam of cooling liquid enters into expansion tank, after cooling, then returns to the radiator, therefore it will reduce the evaporation lossof cooling liquid and improve boiling temperature of cooling liquid. To achieve such good effect, cooling system must be seal and be of high quality cooling liquied to anti-corrosion, boiling prevention, antifreezing and incrustation prevention. 

(2) Keep clean of the external and internal cooling sytem
This is the one of important condition to increase the efficiency of heat dissipation. External radiator is stained with dirt and greese or heat sink deformation due to collision. All can affect the wind through, make heat dissipation efficiency of the radiator poor and cooling liquid temperature high. In those cases, radiator must be cleaned or repaired timely. In addition, if cooling tank of the generator set is full of incrustation, sand or oil contamination, heat transfer will be decreased. Filling of inferior cooling liquid or water will cause cooling system begrime increase, for the incrustation's heat transfer is one  tenths of metal's, thus the cooling effeciency is decreased.So the cooling system should be filled in high quality cooling liquid.

(3) Keep the cooling liquid enough when the generator set is cold. Liquid level of the cooling liquid should be located between the highest and lowest marks in the expansion tank. If lower than the minimum mark, add cooling liquid in time. Note that the cooling liquid can't be filled full, should leave room for expansion.

(4) Maintaining fan belt moderate tension
If fan belt is too loose, the speed of water pump will be too low, thus cause cooling liquid circulation and accelerate fan belt wear and tear. But if the tape is too tight, the bearing of water pump will wear. Fan belt can't be stained with oil contamination. Therefore,  we should regularly check and adjust the fan belt tension.

(5) To avoid diesel generator set overload, when long time heavy load, cooling liquid will be caused too high.

(6) Pay attention to the well ventilated room, especially the exhaust smoke & wind of the water tank is good. The ground clean, do not be with oil contamination and dust,etc.
